Marine Reserves and PLC/OCC? 2010.7.29

Can you do Marine Reserves and PLC or OCC in the similar time? If so, do you get to choose to commission into active duty if you desire following graduation? Does the PLC or OCC education replace the Reserve summer instruction? I asked a recruiter about PLC and he told me they’re only performing OCC correct now mainly because all the folks in PLC, is the fact that accurate? Lastly, when do you apply for PLC or OCC? thanks

    Yes you can be in both. You would commission into active duty automatically (reserve officer spots are few and far between). PLC or OCC would replace the reserve summer training and as a 92 day reservist could replace your MOS school.
